Welcome to The Viking Lodge and Ski Shop
The Viking Lodge
For over 30 years The Viking Lodge has been Winter Park's #1 choice for Winter Park Lodging. We are a family owned hotel in Downtown Winter Park at the corner of Hwy 40 and Vasquez Road. Our rooms range in size from small double
rooms, perfect for a couple, to family rooms with a Queen bed and two Twins in the loft. There are also 1 bedroom apartments - perfect for an extended stay in beautiful Winter Park. All our rooms have color cable TV's, private bath's and are warm, comfortable
and clean. After a day of bumps at Mary Jane relax in our hot tub or head out to the many bars and restaurants, literaly just steps away.
"Love the cute old rooms of varying size and shape. The rooms with lofts! The rec room, hottub,
sauna, shower by the sauna, the "lobby" with coffee and hot chocolate. The ski rentals and t shirt store. Plus it's right at the heart of the town. Great food 100 feet away..." D. H. - Colorado
"If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place. But if you are looking for a cozy place
to crash after a long day skiing or boarding, this is it. Perfect for hard core skiers or boarders who have one thing on the brain - powder. Friendly staff, lowest price around, and great location. Walk to many bars and restaurants on the WP 'strip.' Free
bus to Winter Park Resort stops literally right out the back door. There is also a hot tub to have a soak after a long day on the slopes. The Viking doesn't have large rooms or five star amenities, but its quaintness and charm wins out in the end." C.M. -

Grand County provides some of the best mountain biking opportunities in Colorado. Winter Park, Colorado alone boasts over 600 miles of marked, mapped and user-friendly trails, contributing to its apropos
nickname, Mountain Bike Capital, USA™. From high mountain peaks to beautiful river valleys, single tracks to back country roads, there are opportunities for all ages and skill levels.
The Winter Park and Fraser Valley area is also referred to as the “Mountain Bike Capital USA” and with good reason. The area has more than 600 miles of marked and mapped trails and they offer something
for everyone. From the beginner just starting out to the expert rider there are single-track trails for all levels.
Winter Park Resort is a great place to ride as it transforms in the summer from a ski area to an impressive system of mountain bike trails. The views from the trails at the resort match the character of
the trails themselves, as both are extraordinary. The high-speed Zephyr Express chairlift is equipped to carry bikes and can transport you and your bike to the top of the mountain, this allows for plenty of time and energy for lots of delightful downhill.
If you are feeling ambitious go ahead and ride your bike up the mountain and let the downhill be your reward.
Many of the trails start and end right at The Viking Lodge.
