Warm and Friendly Hotel in Great Location

Charming, unique atmosphere is nice break from all of the other conventional hotels. Owners and staff are friendly, rooms are clean, location is great. Highly recommended!

The Viking Lodge is old, yet quaint. The location is perfect. You're right in town with lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Scott & Jill are fantastic hosts.

The Viking Lodge was a good value for the money and the location was great. Bus to Winter Park is literally next door. The room had a Bed in the loft that my daughter loved, and one on the main floor. The room was basic but had the essentials.

For a first time occupant, my only real issue was the online booking system. Kind of scared me. Sparse on details and for a while I thought it might be a scam. The booking asked for personal details for each occupant, like birth date and other identity theft concerns. When I got to the phone number, it prompted a pop up menu to chose a country. I just stopped. Googled the location to make sure it was a real Lodge. I called the phone number, it said to call during business hours, which it was. Hesitantly, I then completed the process. I guess I’m just paranoid with all the scams out there. Still hoping when I got to town I had not been taken. I was pleasantly surprised.

The kids really liked the loft bed area. The host was very kind and welcoming.

Could use a curtain in the top window. It was pretty bright at night with the cafe lights right out that window.

Lovely stay, perfect night of sleep

Loved the set up and simplicities of the room and adored the bed/ mattress. Was perfect for a weekend get away and we all had a wonderful night of sleep. Room was perfect.

Better coffee and drink station. Self service is fine. Would even be willing to pay for some nice snacks and cold drinks and expanded coffee and tea station options.

Wonderful atmosphere!

Friends and I were on a road trip and found this lodge on google. Booked two rooms for four people over the phone the owners were incredibly accommodating, even sending the payment method through email to ensure our stay. The loft rooms were spacious and great, and we loved how everything was within walking distance! We all agreed wholeheartedly that this was our favorite place to stay through our whole trip.

There wasn't any air conditioning, but we did well with the fans near each bed. The walls are a little thin so I could hear laugher from next door, and a family right above. Don't know if these things can be helped, but it didn't dissuade our opinion of the place.

The staff went above and beyond in making our accommodation work when my original reservation through expedia didn't. A quick call to the desk, and they were right on top of it and really helped us!

In fact, I am still awaiting a return call from Expedia regarding my reservation. That was 5 days ago!

From now on, I will only book direct, and I highly recommend the Viking Lodge!

We really enjoy the setting at your lodge, the old nostalgic feel of the 1950/60’s is refreshing and a nice venue for Winter Park, especially during the skiing season. We enjoyed the newly remodeled room #24 with updated carpet and shower/tub.
