Events
Our area hosts countless events throughout the summer. You can find concerts, art and film festivals, and bike and running races happening almost weekly between June and September. We often have special lodging deals for some events, check out our Deals and Discounts page for more info. . Here is a highlight of our favorite events:
- EVERY THURSDAY June 19th - August 28th - High Note Thursdays at Rendezvous Event Center/Hideaway Park. A weekly FREE live music event just one block from The Viking. Enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.
- Blues from the Top June 27th - 29th – a vibrant music festival in Winter Park, Colorado, featuring top blues artists and stunning mountain views. It’s the perfect weekend for music lovers to enjoy great tunes, food, and fun!
- 4th of July Weekend - - Parades, laser light show and the annual Run For Independence… a highlight of the summer
- Winter Park Jazz Festival July 19th - 20th - - A famous, must-see event, featuring top jazz artists in a scenic mountain setting. Enjoy smooth tunes, great food, and a relaxed atmosphere all weekend long
- Crafts, Cocktails, & Corks July 26th- a fun-filled weekend of handcrafted goods, craft beverages, and delicious food
- Crooked Gravel Marathon / Bike Race Aug 2nd - 3rd – Push yourself to the limits with either of these events. Then, unwind in town!
- Revel in the Park Aug 8th- 9th – a NEW festival to Winter Park, celebrating world class music and world class adventures all in one weekend

Winter Park Resort and Granby Ranch offer world-class slopes for all skill levels, making them perfect for skiers and snowboarders alike.
Snowshoeing & Cross-Country Skiing
Our area has miles and miles of trails ideal for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. For updates on trail grooming and maps, visit the Headwaters Trail Alliance or the Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center for rentals and trail access.

- Holiday Season Activities: Multiple festive gatherings from Thanksgiving through New Year's happen both in town and at the ski area. See the Winter Park and Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce for more information
- Thursday and Friday Nights– Mountain Top Après Ski at Winter Park Resort: Free gondola rides to Sunspot Mountain Lodge, live music and drink specials! Starts December 11th
- Saturday Nights - Après with Mary Jane! Its her 50th birthday on January 10th. Saturday nights leading up to the big day you’ll find live music, drink specials, and swag giveaways at Mary Jane Base Camp starting December 13th.
- January 10th- Mary Jane turns 50! There will be events in town and at the ski area. Stay tuned for more information
