At 151 square feet across two levels, this is the largest room at The Viking Lodge — and the most fun for families and groups who want a genuine Colorado mountain experience. A queen bed anchors the main floor while two twin beds sit up in the loft above, reached by a wooden stairway. It's the room that turns a ski trip into an adventure from the moment you walk in.The room includes a private bathroom with full bathtub, flat-screen TV, mini fridge, and free WiFi. The classic mountain lodge décor — warm wood interiors, vintage ski atmosphere — gives it the kind of character that chain hotels spend millions trying to manufacture.
Step outside and you're already there. In winter, the free ski shuttle stops right at the door and the slopes are minutes away. In summer, world-class mountain biking, hiking, the Alpine Slide, and some of Colorado's best fishing are all within easy reach. A few things to know: The loft is accessed by a steep wooden stairway — it is not suitable for very young children, guests with limited mobility, or anyone uncomfortable with this access. This room is located on the third floor or above with no elevator; please plan accordingly. Rooms are heated but not air conditioned; fans are provided for warmer days.
